1.1 The Chair welcomed Members. Apologies were
received from Jack Sargeant AM and Michelle Brown AM, there were no
substitutes.
2.1 The Committee scrutinised the Chief Medical Officer on the draft strategy.
2.3 The CMO agreed to provide information
clarifying the amount of funding received by the Welsh Government
as a result of the Soft Drink Levy consequential.
3.1 The papers were noted.
3.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Health and Social Services regarding Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient services in Wales.
3.2 The Committee agreed to respond to the Petitions Committee in relation to Petition P-05-857 – Create a National Taskforce for children’s mental health.
3.3 The Committee agreed to accept the offer
of a briefing on cumulative impact assessments from the Equality
and Human Rights Commission.
4.1 The Motion was agreed.
5.1 The Committee considered the evidence heard during the session with the Chief Medical Officer. The Committee agreed to consider a draft consultation response at the meeting on 28 March.
